According to some scholars murderers should receive a life imprisonment while others argue that they should be released. This means, the person will not have an opportunity to harm others unless he runs away from prison and it is unlikely. Further, they argue that when the murderer is convicted for life imprisonment, the rates of crime will be reduced as this person has no opportunity of committing other crimes or murder crime.
